OK, so I was doing traceroutes on some IP's from my access log, just for kicks you know, to see where I get visitors from. I don't do each and every one of them, just a couple now and then. I feed them to WhatRoute that provides you with a geographic approximation of where your visitors come from, and feeding one of them provided this trace. It's the sickest tracer I've ever come across, it traveled around the entire globe to visit my site only around 700 km's away, guess I should take that as a compliment.

The strange bit is that it bounces a couple of times between the two points in mainland China, and then again between the points connecting China and Europe — anybody knows why it does this?
