Reentering my social space online, potentially 29.08.2008
To put it quite simply, I haven't been piling a lot of crap on the internet for a while. And dammit, it felt really good.
Today I cleaned my Google Reader tags. Because while I haven't been piling much crap on the public interweb lately, it seems like I've entered a folder-frenzy in my feeds. Having too many folders with other peoples internet crap to check can wear you out, and make you not check any of them. Just looking at the big fat 1000+ sign next to it makes you wanna go do something where your time is better spend.
Now, I've cut out all the jazz, so I have three folders: Essentials, News, and Not News. Any feed I subscribe to from now on will have to end up in one of these, and only one. I read this approach in a blogpost from a clever guy filed in my previous setup under both geek, tech, not news, non-danish, and blog. That should be illustrative of my situation.
I think I'm back now, I feel like piling more crap out there for a while, but then again, I might think completely different about it tomorrow. That's how I roll these days. Temporary. Intermittent. Indecisive.
Sønder suggested I wrote this entry using some juicy prose - sorry man, I couldn't find it at the moment the urge to write came. I owe you for the inspiration though.
