The fact is that the people at Microsoft had been working on mayor improvements on both the Windows and Mac versions of Internet Explorer, but it looks like those efforts would not, as most of us expectet, result in a couple of final versions before the company abandoned its work in the browser area.

Instead Microsoft will continue to make only adjustments to the already released versions.
