Everything going premium... 16.01.2002

Last week mail.com changed some of their services [mail forwarding amongst others] to be included in their premium services packages, and today nameplanet announced a similar change in service structure. According to the email I got from nameplanet, the advertising revenue in the current internet environment isn't big enough to enable them to provide these free services. Free webmail will still be possible, but their email forward and URL redirect will be part of their premium package, starting at $24.80.

I have one email with mail.com, and two with nameplanet, and I seriously doubt that I'll be opting for their premium services — actually I am pretty sure I won't.
