Written while listening to the whirring of my resurrected harddisk. Nearly crapped myself when it wouldn't boot, and making very odd noises as an encore. My good friend Norton and I struggled with it for three hours - rebuilding directories and catalogues - but now it is happy again [with all data intact], and so am I.
