Apple beyond desktops 15.01.2002
Do we really want that? An Apple that is not a desktop computer, but maybe a "media center that wirelessly networks any kind of computer, handheld, or other digital equipment."
Cliff Edwards from BusinessWeek thinks so in this article. He also thinks that Apple should team up with consumer electronics companies to create "Apple-branded digital gizmos with Apple's unique look and feel." So, I gather, if this happens, by next Christmas I'll be wishing for an iOven, an iFridge [complete with i(ce)Cubes] and ofcourse, the iCuum, the gumdrop vacuum cleaner in translucent space age material, voice controlled, and fully scriptable.
