Open Denmark -- open wide 05.02.2002
On friday at 1600hrs Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke is arranging "Fredag mod Fremmedfrygt" — a parade against the xenophobia sweeping the nation embodied in the new government elected November last year. The theme is open doors, and while protesters gather at the Central Square in Copenhagen, open-minded citizens all over the country are urged to open their front doors for half an hour, showing the world, that the media distributed image of Denmark as a sealed of nation of racists, doesn't portray the stance of all its citizens. A doorhanger has been made for people to put on the front door, and I will put it on all the doors in my building, and show up at the Central Square.
